Less than a week ago, the website VR-Zone revealed the technical specifications of the first Nvidia desktop chips in 40 nm technique. In detail the Geforce G210 and GT220 are meant, which are both ought to settle in the low-cost segment, although the latter is said to be almost twice as fast, so the distance to the mainstream segment is not that big.
VR-Zone did not determine a date for the cards to be presented. They just suggested that those would appear in trade until October. We can affirm this with almost certainty now. Because several sources informed us, that Nvidia would like to use the house exposition GTC for the place for the launch. It takes places from September 30 to October 2 in San Jose.
But usually the launch dates are determined only a few weeks before. The GTC is in no less than 12 weeks. Concerning that the TSMC 40 nm technique is not very steady, yet, we should get straight that the time span is only a plan from Nvidia by now.
The mobile 40 nm parts have been announced already two weeks ago, but are not seen in any notebook, yet.
